Thank you Kendalee, for inspiring me to have not only a virtual midsummer picnic, but also a REAL live family/friend picnic. What a great day!
We must be willing to let go of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. JCampbell
'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.'

It looks like your picnic was just as much fun as Kendalee's! Maybe next time I could send some strawberries over to you! Happy Birthday!!
Oh these are lovely! It does look like everyone is having such fun and I love that your children embraced the whole idea so wholeheartedly!!!
I'm inspired by this to have a peace party myself later in the year - thank you! My friends are generally great at playing along with my whimsy (they all, without exception, wore wings to my 40th Birthday party!) so I imagine there'll be some brilliant interpretations... :)

I wanted to send you an email but couldn't find a link to one... so sorry for having to do it like this - doesn't seem quite right but wanted to wish you anyway. :)
Oh how wonderful sounds your picnick. I'm so sorry I couldn't attend.
