We must be willing to let go of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. JCampbell

My oldest child has always been a serious collector. Rocks were her first obsession. When she was a tiny little girl, she used to love to dig around in the dirt and find little treasures. Once she found her first sparkly crystal-like rock, she was hooked. Shiny rocks are like gold you know.
When I pulled back the covers to see what the littlest pirate had taken, I realized...that oldest one...she's still a collector all right. Now...it's nail polish. *heavy sigh*
Stella loves to read. I am really very very happy about that BUT it gets a little tiring some days. Some days we read the same books about 20 times. (Lately it's been Curious George)
So school has been out around here for almost a week and we are love love loving it!!
I got a beautiful bouquet of flowers from one of my students! I have really been enjoying the flowers this season. The kids have too. Maddy came home with the beautiful Tiger Lily above...and I fussed at her for picking it...but it is very lovely in my kitchen window!
(i organized the books by color. a little clever thing i learned during color week. people actually organize books by color. AND I LOVE IT.)

'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.'
